    Default CO's Parade

    Attention Ship's Company,

After discussion with members of the Unit Staff, we have come up with a new way to more efficiently handle promotions & awards in a way that will give you the recognition that you deserve and handled in a manner where cadets aren't being overlooked, as sometimes can be the case with our current approach.

So on July 31st there will be a CO's Parade, during which all promotions for the month and awards for the month will be presented. This gives everybody 11 days to submit any recommendations to command@navy.webcadets.com.

Please note that promotions to Junior Cadet and Ordinary Seaman are exempt as these will occur as the result of completing steps in the CORPS basic training process.

We hope to get more feedback and recommendations this way and hopefully will be able to recognize more individuals as a result of this approach.

    That is all.

All staff please pass this message down the chain asap. If you have already submitted them please forward your email to co@navy.webcadets.com

A quick review of the nominations I've received so far:

    Cadet of the Month: 0

Other awards, medals, and distinctions: 0

This is our chance to shine, folks, just a quick e-mail with a quick explanation as to why you feel they deserve it. I know the CO is excited to show how brightly our unit can shine, so let's give him so much work to do that all he can talk about is the fury of recommendations he has to deal with tomorrow!

Wow. what we have here is a failure to communicate. Cadets and all members alike. If your CO says you need to get your reccomendations in then you get them in. You show a lack of respect and sense of urgency by not following orders. But, to those that have submitted thankyou. This is what you should be doing.

PO3 This isn't anyones fault nor did anyone disrespect the command staff. They where told to submit their recommendations to a e-mail address does not work. The CO, myself and the Coxn did not know this e-mail failed to work until the other day when we inquired to others and tested it ourselves. Hence why the CO is asking for people to resubmit their recommendations to the CO's e-mail account and not the Command e-mail account.
