T.S. Phoenix,
I
have held the positional role of the Coxswain onboard the great Training Ship
Phoenix for just over three months now, and in that short time holding the duty
I can most happily and openly say I’m extremely proud and honoured not only to
be serving the ship in this position I hold, but also to work with and see much
input from many of its great personnel.
We
are fast approaching the joyous and celebrated time of the year which of course
is Christmas, and I’m sure many personnel have many things they are either
preparing for or looking forward to at this time of year. It does not however
mean that we can all put our sail clothes up and take leave as there are still
lots happening between now and then and I’m certain there will still be many of
things that require your attention when the date is upon us.
As
you are no doubtfully aware we have achieved some great things this year so far
which includes the awarding of the Operational Readiness Medal, won two Trade Quarters
and among that we have achieved many individual recognitions and awards, and
none of these could have been achieved without your input and participation, so
a big thank you and well done is greatly in order for each of you who have been
seen and be known! Well Done!
So
as we go forward to the next two months and towards the end of the year there
is of course many things that need your participation, of course I know that
you are fully aware of what these things are but just incase you don’t the
following things require your input; Trades & Qualifications, NCOC Courses,
Forum Posts, Features, OA Certificates and Cadet ETP’s. These are just to name
the important, of course there are many other aspects where your input would be
greatly appreciated.
Once
again I will close this address to you with what I feel is important in my role
for me to express and stress to the fullest, I’m here for you, to support, aid,
guide, give advice, listen and to discuss anything that you feel the need to
talk about, be it personal to the WCC or private to you. You can of course find
me via messenger on my MSN address at adamthehawk@live.co.uk
(no emails to be sent to this address) or for email via the Coxswain account at
coxn@navy.webcadets.com I will do
my best to respond to emails ASAP.
I
look forward to seeing you all and communicating in some form with you over the
next few weeks and into the month to come. Happy sailing!
Yours
aye,
